The second sealed package of cards was set aside for another rainy day, and today was that day. Sad news to hear about the passing of James Small today. In hindsight, with the Project 2020 hype and his untimely passing spiking demand, I should have purchased the Bob Gibson rookie last year. I still will hold off from attending until I am vaccinated- I have elderly parents and I’d like to avoid passing anything on to them. The “I Love the 80s” and the “Topps All-Star Rookie” posts will come back again in 2021, I still have plenty of material to cover there.

The Cleveland Indians are really dancing now since they have won the last four meetings with the Tigers – including a 4-2 win Tuesday – since breaking a 10-game losing streak against Detroit last month. Months went by, and I finally tore off the plastic wrap late last fall. First, a six over long off, a four with a similar attempt not quite getting the elevation in the next ball and and a four straight down the ground of the last ball of the over to end a productive over for India. There were lots of kids up and down the blocks surrounding my home and, living on a dead-end street, we played a lot of sports right out there on my block. Now it’s time to get a post out of them.
